How do you become a licensed fiduciary in California?

Professional fiduciaries provide services to seniors, persons living with disabilities, and also young children. They manage the daily care, safety, housing, medical needs financial management services from paying bills to managing estates and making investments.

To become eligible as a CA Licensed fiduciary, you must:

  • Have a bachelor's degree or have more than five years of work experience

  • Pass a criminal background check

  • The Center for Guardianship and Certification administers a fiduciary licensing exam that you must pass.

  • To be a licensed fiduciary in California, you must also complete a 30 hours education course if you don't have a bachelor's degree or work experience
